Woman Struck and Killed by Amtrak Train in Northbrook; Metra Commuter Runs Delayed
Long delays reported on Milwaukee District North line.
NORTHBROOK, IL — A woman was hit and killed by an Amtrak train around 4 p.m. near Shermer and Meadow roads in Northbrook on Thursday. Metra trains ran a single track through the area, and long delays through the evening commute took place along the Milwaukee District North line.
The Amtrak train was the Hiawatha No. 337 which runs between Chicago and Milwaukee.
