Several iPhones Stolen from Northbrook Skate Park
Also, a former employee of a store was charged with making $725 in fraudulent purchases.

Former employee charged with theft
Richardo Betancourt, 18, of the 300 block of Highwood Ave. in Highwood, a former employee at a business in the 100 block of Skokie Highway, admitted to making approximately $725 in fraudulent purchases from the store. He was arrested Sept. 25 for retail theft, released on $1,500 bond and given an Oct. 31 court date.

iPhone thefts at skate park
Two people had their cell phones stolen while they were skating at the skate park at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 27. The phones were left on top of the brick pillars on the south side of the park. One was a white iPhone 5 with a black Spec case worth $500 and the other was a black iPhone 5 with a red Otterbox case worth $500.

Someone stole an iPhone 5 worth $500 while its owner was skate boarding at the skate park just after midnight Sept. 28. offenders stole his IPhone 5.
License plates stolen
Someone stole Illinois license plates from a white 2005 Ford SUV that was parked in a lot in the 1900 block of Cherry Lane between Sept. 28 and 29.
Boys bike stolen
Someone stole a boy’s black and blue BMX bicycle worth $250 from a bike rack in the 2000 block of Landwehr Road between 8:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1.
