Elsewhere

A winter storm forecast for the East Coast Friday and Saturday could be a ”big one,” according to forecasters. The storm would encompass New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, which will likely wreak havoc on air travel and have a ripple effect on flights leaving and arriving at O’Hare and Midway airports in Chicago.

The storm could also be combined with a Nor’easter, according to the National Weather Service.

Gusty northeast winds could cause issues with blowing and drifting snow. The potential exists for 50 mph gusts along the coast late Friday night or Saturday morning.
