Top Chicago Marathon Finishers From Northbrook

CHICAGO, IL -- Seventy nine Northbrook residents ran in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday.

The 26.2-mile course took runners through 29 Chicago neighborhoods, that went all the way north to Wrigley Field and south to U.S. Cellular Field.

Steven Clark, 46, was the first Northbrook man to cross the finish line at 02:41:36 according to unofficial Chicago Marathon results. Laura Fine, 36, finished first among Northbrook women finishing with a time of 03:38:43.

Northbrook's other top finishers included:

• Sean Ogrady, 46, 03:20:57
• Lisa Malkov, 37, 03:56:24
• Katherine Wickman, 27, 03:59:31

Elite runners from Kenya dominated the race. Kenyan Abel Kirui finished first with a time of 2:11:22, beating out last year’s champion and fellow Kenyan Dickson Chum in the final mile. Florence Kiplagat, 29, was the top female finisher clocking in at 2:22:31. Results are still unofficial.
