Volunteers To Participate In Annual Clean Up Northbrook Day Event
Local residents will be provided with equipment for the clean-up day on May 15 and that is sponsored by the Northbrook Civic Foundation.
NORTHBROOK, IL — Local families and volunteers searching for a project that will help the community are invited to participate in the second annual Clean Up Northbrook event, which will be held on May 15.
The community cleanup day is sponsored by the Northbrook Civic Foundation, which, along with the Village of Northbrook, will provide local volunteers with safety vests, garbage bags and garbage pick-up sticks. Items may be picked up between 8-10 a.m. on May 15 at the Northbrook Civic building, which is located at 2002 Walters Ave. The vests and pick-up sticks should be returned by 3 p.m., organizers said.
Volunteers are asked to wear face-coverings and gloves and may sign up for a pick-up time and clean-up location here. Advanced Disposal will collect trash bags from the clean-up sites. A limited number of people will be allowed to work at each site due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
