19th District CAPS National Night Out To Be Held On North Side
The event will "send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back," police said.
CHICAGO, IL — Police officers, residents and community members will be gathering in Ravenswood Tuesday, Aug. 7, for the 19th police district's National Night Out. The 19th District includes Lincoln Square, Ravenswood, Uptown, Lake View, North Center, Roscoe Village and the north side of Lincoln Park. The event will be held to promote involvement in crime prevention initiatives and build partnerships between police and the community.
People of all ages are invited to attend. The event will include free hot dogs, drinks, face painting, raffles and balloon twister.
