2 Charged In Lake View Armed Robbery, Police Chase
A 52-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint on West Fletcher Street near Clark, police said.

CHICAGO — A man and a woman were taken into custody early Thursday morning after police followed them from Lake View to Englewood. Police said the pair pulled out a gun in the 800 block of West Fletcher Street at about 11 p.m. and robbed a 52-year-old woman.
The woman's purse, cell phone and keys were stolen, according to police. The suspects then used the keys to steal the woman's van.
Officers saw the van near Lake Shore Drive and Belmont Avenue, and followed it to the 6600 block of South Bishop in Englewood, police said. The van was involved in a crash, and the man and woman ran to a nearby building.

Police said the pair refused to come out, and officers had to go inside the building to take them into custody.
