Cannonball! Local Pools Open for the Summer
With sunny skies and warm temperatures, area pools are opening for the season.
Just in time for the first day of summer—June 21—Northcenter and Roscoe Village pools have opened for chlorine-filled fun.
Four local pools are officially ready for swimmers as of Friday morning:
- West River Park, 5100 N. Francisco Ave. (Schedule)
- California Park, 3843 N. California Ave. (Schedule)
- Hamlin Park, 3035 N. Hoyne Ave. (Schedule)
- Chase Park, 4701 N. Ashland Ave. (Schedule)
The outdoor pool season typically runs from June through Labor Day and includes more than 50 options in the Chicago Park District system. Some pools also have have accessibility features such as ADA stairs and pool lifts.
