Geek Bar Coming to Clybourne
The bar was set to open in Lake View, but recently announced that it will be opening in Lincoln Park.

The Geek Bar, which was formerly set to open in Lake View, is officially moving into 1960 N. Clybourn in Lincoln Park. The "geeky gastropub" is set to open this spring, according to Eater.
The Geek Bar, which will feature two floors and 10,000 square-feet of all things geek, will host gaming parties, TV and movie nights, lectures and book signings, plus two bars and a food program headed up by Chef Tom Kern, of BadHappy Poutine Shop fame, Eater states. There will also be board games and a wide list of craft beers and cocktails.
According to Geek Bar's Kickstarter campaign, which raised $44,583 in August, the food and drink options will be named after things from nerd culture — such as "Gold Coins" ("fried goat cheese medallioins served atop an eggplant reduction, garnished with a chickpea relish"), "Littlefingers" ("crab and chorizo corndogs served alongside a ramp pesto sauce") and "Cthulhutini" (a "gin martini with melon, lime and elderflower notes").
There will be two separate bars in Geek Bar, each with a different theme, according to the Kickstarter page. SCIENCE! Bar will feature bartenders in lab coats, smoking drinks and wacky cocktails. Binary Bar will be a more sophisticated option.
Owner David Zoltan told DNAInfo in July that Lake View, with comic book stores and theater options, was the best option for the Geek Bar.
"I feel like geeks are flocking [to Lake View] because that's where they want to live," he told DNAinfo. It makes a lot of sense for us to be there."
