Halloween Contest Under Way with Big Prizes Up for Grabs

The annual event in Northcenter is back, awarding prizes to neighbors with the scariest and most creative Halloween decorations in town.

Calling all neighbors with a flair for dramatic design: the Northcenter Neighborhood Association is officially kicking off its annual Halloween Decorating Contest.

Organizers are encouraging all neighbors to participate in the month-long event where prizes will be awarded to homes with the most lavish look.

Houses will be categorized into three groups: scariest, most family friendly and most creative. In addition, the block with the most participants will win a pizza party on Halloween night.

All homes interested in participating should let organizers with the NNA know by 10 a.m. on Oct. 27 to be included in the judging process. You can also sign up on the group’s website, with a $5 fee for members and $15 for non-members.

And be sure to email northcenterneighborhood@gmail.com a photo of your home by Oct. 25 so your home can grace the NNA Facebook page.
