Local Businesses Chalk Up Cash in 'Shop for Schools' Day
Area schools will get 20 percent of all sales from these Roscoe Village stores today.
Local schools could score some serious cash if residents kick off their holiday shopping Thursday in Roscoe Village.
The Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce is hosting a 'Shop for Schools,' day where 20 percent of any purchase goes back to a school of the buyer's choice. No fewer than 16 stores in the area are opening their doors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday for the fifth year.
The three schools that rake in the most money will get an additional $1,000, $500 or $250 donation from the RVCC.
