Man Wanted For Public Indecency In North Center: Police

Police received a report that a man was touching himself outside a North Center school.

CHICAGO — Police are searching for a suspect wanted for public indecency in the North Center neighborhood. A mother reported that a man was touching himself inappropriately outside a school in the neighborhood on Wednesday, according to a police community alert.

The woman was sitting in her vehicle, waiting to pick up her children from school in the 3700 block of North Oakley at about 4 p.m., police said. The woman said she saw a man sitting in his vehicle and touching himself while watching children, police said.

The man eventually drove north on Oakley Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black man with a slim build in this late 30s to to early 40s. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants. He was driving a newer model Honda Accord with Illinois license plate S172376.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area North detectives at 312-744-8261.
