More than 100 Volunteers Still Needed for Roscoe Village Burger Fest

Officials are busy planning the annual event, which means snagging volunteers to help man the three beer tents and entrance gates.

The annual Roscoe Village Burger Fest is nearing closer, and organizers say they’re seeking more than 100 volunteers to step up to make the event a success.

The celebration at Belmont and Damen avenues runs July 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the chamber is looking for volunteers to help staff its three beer tents and the festival's entrance gates.

Both the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce and the Hamlin Park Advisory Council sent out notifications to residents asking for volunteers. At that time, the chamber needed 98 helpers, and the community organization needed 36 people.

And according to the chamber’s sign-up breakdown, more volunteers are needed on Sunday compared to Saturday.

Those willing to give back to the community by volunteering can email the chamber at info@rvcc.biz with their name, the day they’d like to help, email address, phone number and t-shirt size. Volunteers can even say if they’d prefer to work at the beer tents or entrance gates, and the chamber says they’ll try to accommodate everyone based on requests.
