Construction is under way for a new preschool where a former Rubin’s Contemporary Furniture and rug store once called home.
The large storefront at 3045 N. Lincoln Ave. recently acquired permits with the City of Chicago to do an $8,000 storefront replacement, as well as electrical work.
Omar’s Oriental Rugs & Floors recently closed on Lincoln Avenue. Construction permits for the preschool were approved in April, city data shows.
