North Center's Blue Sky Bakery Featured on CBS Chicago
The local business' owner Lisa Thompson is featured on the program as "Someone You Should Know."
To the untrained eye, Blue Sky Bakery in North Center is just a place to snag a cup of coffee and something tasty, but CBS 2’s Harry Porterfield discovered an act of good will behind the restaurant.
Owner Lisa Thompson started the Blue Sky Employment program six years ago as a way to service at-risk youth in Chicago.
“I had the opportunity to learn a little bit more about the adolescent population in Chicago and how under-served they are,” Thompson told CBS.
