Police Warn Of Avondale Car Thefts
Four of the vehicles that were stolen were Dodge Caravans, police said.

CHICAGO — Police sent a community alert to North Side residents warning of multiple car thefts in the Avondale and Kilbourn Park neighborhoods. At least five vehicles were stolen between Oct. 29 and Nov. 1, four of which were Dodge Caravans, police said.
The vehicles were all parked legally on neighborhood streets when they were broken into, according to police.
The thefts occurred in the following locations:

- 3300 block of North Ridgeway Avenue between 9 p.m. on Oct. 29 to 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 30.
- 3300 block of North Harding Avenue from 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 to 6:20 a.m. on Nov. 1.
- 3300 block of North Hamlin Avenue at 8:53 p.m. on Nov. 1.
- 3300 block of North Hamlin Avenue at 9:31 p.m. on Nov. 1.
- 3400 block of North Lowell Avenue from 7 p.m. on Nov. 1 to 7 a.m. on Nov. 2.
