Popular Social Club Expands to Roscoe Village
Birch Road Cellar in Lincoln Park will open a second location in Roscoe Village this summer.

CHICAGO, IL - An exclusive, BYOB social club that’s gained popularity after opening in the heart of Lincoln Park last year plans to expand with a second location in Roscoe Village by the end of the summer, DNAinfo Chicago reported this week.
“Roscoe Village has the same close-knit community that we love about Lincoln Park. It’s a perfect fit for our vision of a casual and relaxed private club,” Co-owner Kim Bosse said in announcing the expansion.

Bosse owns Birch Road Cellar with her lifelong friend, Kim Provins. The pair grew up in north suburban Northbrook and attended Glenbrook North High School. The place is named after Birch Road, a Northbrook street where the two spent much of their childhood.
Members of Birch Road Cellar can access the club and plan social gatherings of their own. They can bring in their own drinks or store them in a personal locker. Restrictions at the Lincoln Park location are so tight all members need to have their fingerprints scanned in order to enter the wine cellar.

Bosse told Patch in 2015 the club is a place to “lose yourself with friends.”
“This is natural for me,” said Kevin McNally, a native of Boston who recently moved to Lincoln Park and joined the club. “I like that there’s no TV, that if I want to bring my guitar here and play it, I can. I’m no Dave Matthews - but I know that if I want to play, I can play.”
An open house on the new location is planned for Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the Lincoln Park spot. If you are interested, email openhouse@birchroadcellar.com and Bosse and Provins will let you know the address.
