Roscoe Village 5K Run And Halloween Parade: Schedule, Activities
A new fun run will be held before the popular 18th annual Roscoe Village Neighbors Halloween Parade this year.

CHICAGO — For nearly two decades, hundreds of witches, ghouls and other spooky folks of all ages have come out to celebrate the annual Roscoe Village Neighbors' Halloween Parade. Event organizers are expecting more than 5,000 people to attend this year's parade on October 21, which now will include a 5K fun run race.
Costumes are encouraged for all runners, and people of all ages and abilities are invited to participate, organizers said. The fun run will also include food, beer booths and music.
Post-race activities, which will be located between Hoyne and Hamilton on Roscoe, will include craft and activity tables, food trucks, a commissioned a photo booth with vignettes, dancing and costume contests.

Here is the schedule for both the parade and fun run:
- 9 – 10:30: 5K race winding through the streets of Roscoe Village
- 10:45 – 11:15: age 10 and under kids Costumed Fun Run down Roscoe Street. All kids participating will receive a finisher’s medal
- 12 – 12:30: the 18th annual RVN Halloween Parade, beginning at Oakley and proceeding to Damen
- 12:30 – 4 p.m.: crafts, a photo booth, food trucks, activities and much more
Tickets for the fun run are $50, and tickets for the Children's Fun Run (10 and under) are $20 each. All proceeds will be invested back into the community, the Roscoe Village Neighbors said.
