Roscoe Village Bourbon & Barbecue Festival: Vendors, Music Lineup

CHICAGO, IL — Barrel-aged bourbon and a range of smoked meats will be offered at the Bourbon & Barbecue Fest in the heart of Roscoe Village this weekend. The festival will be held Sept. 8 and 9 at 2000 W Belmont Ave (at Damen). Alongside bourbon tastings and barbecue dishes, the festival will also feature a stage with ten scheduled performances by local bands.

The festival will run from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Tasting times run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day.

The event will feature a bourbon tasting pavilion with more than 20 vendors. For $35, the Bourbon Tasting ticket will include 12 samples. The festival also offers a four-ticket mini sampler for $16. The festival benefits the Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce.

List of Barbecue Vendors:

Aussom Aussie Australian BBQ - Owner/founder Paul "Aussom Aussie" MacKay has been refining his craft since 1988. MacKay has won more than 350 awards for his barbecue dishes at food events across the U.S. and Canada.

Austin's Texas Lightning BBQ - Known for their ribs, Texas Lightning's slabs have won numerous awards and many fans on social media.

BBQ King Smokehouse - Hailing from Woodstock, Ill., these chefs offer a range of smoked meats as well as sandwiches at both their restaurant and catering businesses.

Blowin' Smoque BBQ - Founded by an Illinois husband and wife team in 2017, the company has won several awards for what they call their "creative twist" on chicken, ribs and turkey.

Main Street Grill - Main Street features an array of dishes from sandwiches and crab cakes to their popular chicken, steak and pork tenderloin kabobs.

Rancho Mateo - This Southwest Side Colombian restaurant is known for its spicy sauces and teepee-shaped grill.

Tandoor Char House - Hailing from Lincoln Park, brothers Fahim and Faraz Sarharia are inspired by the flavors from India and Pakistan.
