Roscoe Village Store Named One Of Best Bike Shops In Country

CHICAGO — For yet another year, Roscoe Village Bikes has made it onto the America's Best Bike Shops list, compiled by the National Bicycle Dealers Association. The list only includes independent bike shops with parts, accessories and a service department.

Roscoe Village Bikes takes pride in being involved in the local community, and recently participated in PAWS Chicago's Angels with Tails event in the neighborhood.

"They're very grateful to the people in the neighborhood that have chosen them for bicycles, bicycle accessories and repair services," The Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce said in a letter to residents. "They are adding some exciting new lines and hope to get better every year."

Other Chicago winners include Element Multisport in Bucktown and Kozy's Cyclery, which has locations in Avondale, Lake View, River North and Bronzeville.

To be considered for the contest, a store representative (owner or manager) must apply by filling out a detailed application, as well as agreeing to be mystery shopped by an outside company. Applicants are awarded points based on the application and shopping results, with only the highest performers being selected, the National Bicycle Dealers Association said.
