Roscoe Village Winterfest Events Announced

The local festival will include a tree lighting ceremony, sleigh rides and caroling.

CHICAGO — The Roscoe Village Winterfest is just around the corner, and organizers have announced the upcoming event schedule. The popular festival will include trolley rides, caroling and of course the annual neighborhood tree lighting ceremony.

The two-day festival will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1 and Sunday, Dec. 2.

The event will begin with the tree lighting ceremony and caroling at 5 p.m. at Turquoise Cafe, 2147 W. Roscoe St. The Saturday Night Stroll will be held between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., and holiday cider will be offered to warm up shoppers.

Then on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., people of all ages are invited to enjoy children's activities, a horse-drawn sleigh, carolers, trolley rides and Santa and Mrs. Claus.
