St. Patrick's Day 2018 Events On Chicago's North Side
Let the countdown begin! There are plenty of events on the city's North Side to bring out the 'Chi-rish' spirit in all.

CHICAGO, IL — Chicago's North Side is packed full of fun St. Patrick's Day events this year. From Lincoln Park's popular St. Paddy's 5/8K Run & Walk to the Northwest Side Irish Parade to some of the city's biggest pub crawls, there are plenty of options for green-spirited folks who want to avoid the downtown crowds. So get ready to party on the North Side, Emerald Isle-style.
St. Paddy's Day 5K & 8K Run/Walk in Lincoln Park:
Get ready to participate in Chicago's oldest St. Patrick's Day sprint! Participants are encouraged to don green attire, or wear costumes for the event's 17th year in Lincoln Park. There will also be prizes for the best-dressed runners and walkers. Participants will also receive a commemorative event shirt and are invited to a post-run party at Select Cut Steakhouse.

The St. Paddy's Day 5K & 8K Run/Walk starts at Cannon Drive at Fullerton Parkway, at 2410 N. Cannon Dr. @ 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

St. Patrick's Festival in Mayfair:

More than 10,000 people clad in their finest green are expected to partake in one of Chicago's largest festivals. Held at the Irish American Heritage Center, the event will feature traditional and contemporary Irish music, dance, food and drinks, children's activities and even an arts and crafts fair. And if that's not enough Irish for you, there will also be Irish language lessons, films, an Irish art exhibit, genealogy workshops and a book sale!
The St. Patrick's Festival will be held Saturday, March 17 from 1 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $15 for adults, or $12 for advance purchase if bought by the end of the day on March 15. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the above event link, or calling the IAHC office at (773) 282-7035, ext. 10.

Lincoln Park St. Pat's Crawl:
Party with other 'Chi-rish' in one of the city's most popular bar-hopping events. The crawl will take party-goers to some of Lincoln Park's biggest bar events: the new restaurant Faregrounds, McGee's, Happy's Bamboo Bar & Lounge, LA Social, Lincoln Park Tavern, Mad River and Tobacco Road. The crawl features a photo contest, gift cards, St. Paddy's Day discounts and other special giveaways.
The St. Pat's Crawl begins at 3 p.m.—the crawl's starting bar (where you can pick up your wristband) and schedule will be announced Friday, March 16 in the afternoon.

Chicago Shamrock Crawl:
This Wrigleyville crawl includes a breakfast buffet, drink specials, a free t-shirt, a gift card to use on the crawl and other giveaways. The itinerary includes stops at BEER on Clark, Casey Moran's, Clark St. Beach, Country Club, Deuce's, Full Shilling, HVAC, John Barleycorn, Merkle's, Moe's Cantina, Nola, Old Crow, Roadhouse 66, Sandlot, Shakers, Stretch, Brickhouse, Press Box/Dugout and more bars are to be announced! It turns out you may ACTUALLY be crawling after this pub crawl.
The Chicago Shamrock Crawl will be held Saturday, March 17 at 8 a.m. in Wrigleyville (you heard that right, these party-planners don't mess around). Tickets are $35 to $40.
