These 40 Illinois Legislators are Not Taking a Pension
A list of state representatives, senators and constitutional officers who are opting out of their pension plans.
Last year, before the Illinois Supreme Court ruled the 2013 pension reform law unconstitutional, we published a list of 26 state senators and representatives who opted out of their General Assembly Retirement System pension plans.
Here is an updated list of the 40 Illinois lawmakers in the 99th General Assembly who are not taking a pension, which was obtained from GARS through a Freedom of Information Act request.
