Three-Story Crack in Roscoe Village Building has Neighbors Nervous
The potentially dangerous structural issue has residents and city officials keeping a close eye on the building.

A three-story tall structural crack on the outside wall of a Roscoe Village apartment complex is forcing Chicago officials to take action after concerns from area neighbors, NBC 5 Chicago reports.
The building at 2348 W. Addison St. has city inspectors calling the crack “dangerous” and “hazardous,” noting the foundation needs to be investigated, NBC writes. Residents demanded a protective canopy to protect from falling debris.
The building is due in court Sept. 18 to address building violations.
