UIC Prof Can Tell You When You'll Die, Sort Of
The "Face My Age" website will take your selfies and reveal how long you might live.
I’m 26, and I’ll live till I’m 82. At least according to a new UIC professor’s website, which takes selfies and gives the people behind the camera an expiration date.
Face My Age is a website designed by University of Illinois-Chicago public health professor S. Jay Olshansky, along with a face recognition specialist from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
The site asks users to upload a photo and determine specific points on their faces, and then it takes other information, including current age, sex, cigarette and drug use, plastic surgery history, sun exposure, marital status and education.

It then calculates your expected life span, remaining days alive and the probability you’ll reach ages 65 and 85.
As morbid as it all sounds, the data could provide research benefits, according to DNA Info. Olshansky could use the data to help his research relating “face age” and mortality rates, and also point out different risk factors for various diseases.
