OAK BROOK, IL — A self-made billionaire and entrepreneur who co-founded Paul Mitchell hair products, the House of Blues night club chain and Patron tequila has purchased an 80-acre site that formerly housed McDonald's global headquarters in Oak Brook, according to the Daily Herald. It's unclear at this point what John Paul DeJoria plans to do with the site, which includes the McDonald's Hamburger University training facility, a Hyatt Lodge hotel and former campus office building.

Real estate firm JLL has been working with McDonald's representatives since 2008 to find a buyer for the site, according to the Daily Herald.
