Commuter Shuttle Rides To Oak Brook Available From Elmhurst

OAK BROOK, IL — Commuters will have an easier way to get between Elmhurst and Oak Brook since shuttle service June 25. Shuttle rides are available Monday through Friday at four different morning time slots to ferry people between Elmhurst's Metra Station and Commerce Dr. in Oak Brook, Chicago Tribune reports.

The program, which had been in the works for awhile, includes dropoffs at and within 10 Oak Brook properties that have multiple tenants. The cost of a ride between Elmhurst and Aurora will be $6.30 for each ride and multi-ride passes are available.

For the first year, the shuttle service will be primarily funded by the Regional Transportation Authority, according to Chicago Tribune. Business tenants in the 10 drop-off stops in Oak Brook will cover the remainder of the cost over the first two years.
