District 53 Announces Summer School Course Offerings

Butler School District 53 is pleased to release the 2020 Summer School course offerings for students entering grades 3-8.

Butler School District 53 is pleased to release our 2020 Summer School course offerings for students entering grades 3-8. During the summer, our students are offered an opportunity to implement digital technologies to access educational curriculum outside of a traditional classroom while furthering their learning. Each course will be conducted four days per week, ending by noon, and be taught by District 53 teachers. All courses are virtual with live, daily sessions embedded within each day's schedule.

We have linked our course catalog below with detailed course descriptions and additional information on the summer school program. Registration for these courses begins immediately. Class sizes are limited and subject to available staffing and sufficient enrollment. Some additional courses may be offered in summer session 2 that are not listed here.

Session 1 begins on Tuesday, June 23rd, and runs through Friday, July 10th. Registration for these classes ends at midnight on June 23rd.

Session 2 begins on Monday, July 13th, and ends on Thursday, July 30th. Registration for these classes ends at midnight on July 8th.

Both sessions occur from 9 am - 12 pm with a hybrid of synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. The cost is $200 per student per session.
