Handgun, Weed, $11K Found In Abandoned Car In Oak Brook: Police
Police say they smelled a "strong odor of cannabis emanating from the vehicle."

OAK BROOK, IL --- Oak Brook police recently responded to a report of an abandoned car and found a gun, weed, and thousands of dollars in cash inside the vehicle. Officers responded to the scene near the intersection of 35th Street and Pasquinelli on Nov. 25, according to a police summary.
Police say they detected a "strong odor of cannabis" coming from the car, which led to a more in-depth investigation. Upon further inspection, police found a "large amount of cannabis," a 9mm Smith and Wesson Shield handgun, and more than $11,000 in cash.
