'I'm Going To Kill You,' Says Man Who Ran Over Girlfriend: Cops
Police say the Cicero man texted, "You'll pay for this and with blood," before running his girlfriend over with his car.

LOMBARD, IL — “You’re going to die this week." “You’ll pay for this and with blood." “I’m going to kill you.” These were three text messages Yesenia Rodriguez allegedly got from her boyfriend, Jose Aguirre, before police say he ran her over outside the Yorktown Mall Monday. Aguirre, 47, of Cicero, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and is being held without bond.
Police say Rodriguez was walking to her job around 7:30 a.m. when Aguirre drove in her direction and "completely [ran] her over with both the front and rear driver’s side tires of his Ford Expedition" before fleeing. Rodriguez suffered "numerous injuries including injuries to her spine, hip bone and jaw bone," according to police.
After an investigation, Lombard police took Aguirre into custody Tuesday without incident. In addition to the attempted murder charge, he's also been charged with aggravated domestic battery.

DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said of the incident, "As for Mr. Aguirre, the man allegedly responsible for those injuries, it is my intention to bring the full force of the law in the case against him to ensure that, if convicted, he pays a significant price for his outrageous actions."
Aguirre is set to appear in court again on Sept. 20 for his arraignment.
