LCFS to Host Open House at its New Corporate Office in Oakbrook Terrace on Oct. 4
Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois, one of the largest nonprofit child welfare agencies in Illinois, will host an Open House at its new Corporate Support Center at One Oakbrook Terrace, Suite 501, on Thursday, Oct. 4 between 3 and 6 p.m. The public is invited to attend, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 5 p.m.
The former corporate office, which resided on 28,125 square feet in River Forest had been the agency’s home base since 1960. "LCFS has been around for more than 145 years and we will continue to be an agency that will adapt to the times while staying true to our mission of protecting children, strengthening families and building futures for those who have experienced trauma,” said Mike Bertrand, LCFS’ President and CEO. “Our move in July scaled back the physical space of our corporate office by about 75 percent, but it’s allowed us to increase our focus on and change the way we provide high-quality service. We care for about 1,600 kids around the state at any one time, and as we continue to expand our core services around the state, it’s critical we be fiscally responsible and have a corporate space that meets the needs of our employees and those we serve.”
LCFS is a leading provider of a variety of social services, including foster care, adoption, counseling and preventative programs such as Intact Family Services and Extended Family Support.
