Man Gets 7th DUI After Hitting 2 Cars In Lombard: Cops

Police say the man pulled into a Burger King parking lot and switched seats with a passenger after the crashes.

LOMBARD, IL — A Lombard man has been charged with his 7th DUI after he was allegedly involved in a collision with two cars Tuesday. Steven Tresnak, 55, of the 300 block of Westmore Road, was charged with felony counts of aggravated DUI and driving with a revoked license in connection with the incident.

Police say Tresnak hit two cars on Westmore-Meyers Road near St. Charles Road and then drove to a Burger King parking lot and switched seats with a passenger in his car. When police got to the scene, they say Tresnak had a .20 BAC.

In a statement, DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, "Thankfully, no one was injured as a result of Mr. Tresnak’s alleged irresponsible, reckless behavior."

If convicted, Tresnak faces up to 10 years in prison. He is set to appear in court on Nov. 11.
