Oak Brook Police: 'Safe' Near Hyatt House After Gunman Report

Police said the area was safe nearly an hour after a report of a 'possible' gunman incident at Hyatt House Monday.

OAK BROOK, IL — The Oak Brook Police Department is investigating after responding to a report Monday of possible man with a gun at the Hyatt House, located in the 200 block of W. 22nd Street. Around 2 p.m. police alerted the public that the department has "completed its police activities at Hyatt House," and added that it's "safe to be in the area." The department sent out the initial alert reporting the possible gunman just before 1 p.m. Monday, and asked all members of the public to please avoid the area.
