OAK BROOK, IL — A teacher at Brook Forest School in Oak Brook went to California in February where she was a contestant in a game of "Jeopardy" that aired Tuesday on ABC 7, according to Chicago Tribune. Alison Nelson, from Oak Park, appeared in a Feb. 19 game, and was ahead of the other contestants before Final Jeopardy, according to the news report. However, Nelson wasn't able to provide the correct answer and went from $11,000 to $2,000 as the runner-up, the Chicago Tribune said.
The Final Jeopardy category was "50s Films," with the clue, “The last line of this epic film was ‘Go-proclaim liberty throughout all the lands unto all the inhabitants thereof.'” Nelson's guess? "The Grapes of Wrath," according to Chicago Tribune, adding that the game's defending champion advanced after guessing the correct answer, "The Ten Commandments."
