Residents, 3 Dogs Escape House Fire In Oak Brook

Police say the blaze closed traffic on 31st St. for a few hours.

OAK BROOK, IL — Two residents and their three dogs were able to escape a fire that consumed a home in Oak Brook early Friday. The fire broke out at approximately 12:35 a.m. in the 300 block of 31st St., according to police.

Police say there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The blaze temporarily halted traffic for "a few hours" on 31st St. as crews cleaned up debris, police officials said.
