Residents, 3 Dogs Escape House Fire In Oak Brook
Police say the blaze closed traffic on 31st St. for a few hours.

OAK BROOK, IL — Two residents and their three dogs were able to escape a fire that consumed a home in Oak Brook early Friday. The fire broke out at approximately 12:35 a.m. in the 300 block of 31st St., according to police.
At 00:35 hrs, OBPD and FD responded to the 300 blk of 31st St. for a house fire. 2 occupants and 3 dogs escaped w/o injuries. 31st St. was closed for traffic for a few hours due to the fire/cleanup. Police say there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The blaze temporarily halted traffic for "a few hours" on 31st St. as crews cleaned up debris, police officials said.
