Retired Oak Brook Police K-9 Dies At 14
Brutus served on the Oak Brook police force from 2006 to 2012.

OAK BROOK, IL — Oak Brook police are taking a moment to remember one of their own after Brutus, a retired police dog, died Wednesday.Brutus began his work with the force in 2006 and retired in 2012.
Sgt. Danny Ramirez, Brutus's former partner, told Chicago Tribune the German shepherd "never gave up" when he was on a case.
After Brutus ended his successful 6-year career and retired in 2012, he moved in with Ramirez and spent the rest of his days by his side until the retired K-9's death Wednesday.

In a social media post, Oak Brook Police expressed their gratitude for Brutus's service. They wrote, "It is with much sadness and regret that the @OakBrookPolice announce the end of watch for K-9 Brutus today 7/18/18."
