The Table At Crate Combines Retail And Dining At Oak Brook Center
Crate and Barrel's first full-service restaurant and Cornerstone's first venture into the retail space opened this week in Oak Brook Center.
OAK BROOK, IL — The Table at Crate, a collaboration between Crate and Barrel and Cornerstone Restaurant Group, opened Tuesday in Oakbrook Center, 35 Oakbrook Center, home furnishings retailer Crate and Barrel announced in a release. With James Beard-nominated Chef Bill Kim leading the kitchen, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and all day coffee service can be enjoyed at Crate and Barrel’s first full-service restaurant and Cornerstone’s first venture into the retail space, according to the release.
The space's design process was led by the experts at Crate and Barrel, including VP of Product Design and Development Sebastian Brauer, and Crate and Barrel’s in-house architecture and brand experience teams, the release said.
The menu, developed by Chef Bill Kim, takes a "plant-centric approach and celebrates Midwestern seasonality and a modern way of dining that is lighter, brighter and layered in herbaceous flavor," according to the release. The menu is divided into shareable "Bites, Garden, Greens, Tartines, Bowls and Mains," and include ingredients sourced from local farms and purveyors, according to the release.

The signature cocktails will also have a seasonal approach and feature house made syrups and juices.
Guests can take in the experience of blending of restaurant and retail by enjoying a signature cocktail as they explore the adjacent Crate and Barrel store.

The Table at Crate "integrates the dining and retail experience across two levels of indoor and outdoor space, connecting people, creative food and timeless design, while also providing another avenue to showcase the latest Crate and Barrel products and entertaining inspiration," according to the release.

Neela Montgomery, CEO of Crate and Barrel, said in the release. “We share that passion and The Table at Crate creates a more immersive brand experience for our customers."
The Table at Crate is open 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
