Take The 'Polar Plunge' In Oak Brook To Help Special Olympics
The Oak Brook Polar Plunge will take place March 3 at 1 p.m. at the Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club.

OAK BROOK, IL — The Oak Brook Polar Plunge takes place on March 3 and participants are already psyching themselves up to jump into icy cold water for a good cause. If you've wanted to take part, but never knew how, now's your chance!
Participants must register online and collect $100 in donations for their chance to jump into the freezing waters at Oak Brook Bath and Tennis Club. Donations go to benefit the athletes at Special Olympics Illinois.
So far, Oak Brook has raised more than $20,000 and has more than 140 participants slated to take part in the Polar Plunge. If you're not quite ready to brave the cold waters, you can donate at the Oak Brook Polar Plunge page.

The March 3 event kicks off at 11 a.m. with registration and check-in. The plunge happens at 1 p.m. and the event festivities continue until 3 p.m.
Raising the minimum donation amount also gets you dibs on a Polar Plunge sweatshirt. The sweatshirts will be available on a first come first served basis, so be sure to get there early enough to snag one.
