LOMBARD, IL --- A Lombard teen is in custody after he allegedly threatened Glenbard East High School on Instagram. Police say Jairus Castillo, 18, of the 200 block of Blue Spruce Lane, Glendale Heights, allegedly posted a photo of himself holding an assault rifle to the social media site Saturday. The photo was allegedly accompanied by the caption, "He's shooting up the school Monday 3rd period after the bell."

Castillo was arrested Sunday, according to a news release from DuPage County State's Attorney's Office. DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said, "Threatening the safety and security of thousands of teachers, staff and students is not a joke. Any threat to the well-being of our students and teachers will be fully investigated and anyone suspected of such behavior will be charged accordingly."

Castillo is currently being held on $75,000 bond on felony charges of threatening violence against a school. He is set to appear in court on Nov. 19.
