11th Annual Midlothian Independence Parade This Saturday

It will kick off at 11 a.m. Police said traffic in the area will be heavy, and to plan accordingly.

MIDLOTHIAN, IL — The 11th Annual Midlothian Independence Parade will kick off again this Saturday, a week ahead of the Fourth of July.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and will take place on 147th Street, which will be closed off for the event. Police said 147th Street will be closed off to traffic for one hour. Police added that traffic in the area will be heavy, and to plan accordingly.

The parade itself will step off from Kilpatrick and end at Waverly (village green).

At the 10th annual event, community members were invited to decorate their bikes and ride in the parade. Class of 2020 graduates were encouraged to celebrate their graduation by participating the parade.
