Dad Left Baby In Car To Run Into Restaurant: Police
Police say 8-month-old Braiden Waters was found 15 minutes after an Amber Alert went out.

DOLTON, IL — Police said 8-month-old Braiden Waters has been found, hours after Dolton police said the infant was abducted by a man who drove off in a black Kia.
Police said the boy's father ran into a restaurant on Sibley Boulevard around 7:35 a.m. Saturday and left the vehicle running, according to ABC Chicago. Baby Braiden was in a car seat in the back of the vehicle, which was a rental car.
It was then that someone jumped into the vehicle and took off, according to police.

An Amber Alert was issued around 11 a.m., and the car was found within 15 minutes in Calumet City.
The baby was taken to an area hospital to be checked out, ABC reported.

Police are asking anyone who lives near the site where the car was recovered to check their security cameras for footage that may show the suspect.

Dolton police confirmed an 8-month-old baby boy was abducted Saturday morning. Braiden A. Waters was in a car seat in the back of a black 2021 Kia when police say an unidentified man was seen driving off in the vehicle.
Braiden, who is 15 pounds and 23 inches long, was wearing plaid onesie pajamas with a white skull cap and a black fleece sweater, police said.
Police said the abduction happened around 7:35 a.m. in the 1300 block of Sibley Boulevard in Dolton.
The suspect was last seen driving the vehicle northbound on Lincoln Avenue, police said.
The vehicle is a black 2021 Kia with the North Carolina license plate HKB6993.
