Bremen JV Wrestling Season Comes to an End

The Bremen High School Junior-Varsity Wrestling Team finished a strong season at the end of February. The team was victorious at the District 228 Quad Tournament this year taking home a first place win against D228 rivals at Tinley Park High School, Hillcrest High School, and Oak Forest High School. Additionally, the team came in second place during the South Suburban Conference hosted on January 25th at Argo High School this year.

Coach Craig Collins says, "This year we had a bunch of sophomores and last year as freshmen they were just tough. The came in, none of them had wrestled before, they took it seriously. The last two years they've been on JV and they've wrestled a ton of matches last year, a bunch of matches this year, and their record over all (the sophomore class) is great. They only lost four duel matches in two years."

Collins also says he believes all of the Bremen wrestlers individually on the JV team have progressed.

Most notably, this year three freshmen moved up to compete at JV Conference. As a result, two out of the three freshmen athletes took fourth place.

When asked, "What's next?"

The Braves unanimously agreed that hard work combined with continued practice and training would motivate them to many more successful seasons for wrestling fans to look forward to.
