Closures Alert: What's Open, Closed Due To Icy Weather

OAK FOREST, IL — Freezing rain, snow and ice accumulations in the forecast Tuesday night is prompting area schools and businesses to close.

The National Weather Service Chicago is predicting ice accumulations of up to a quarter-inch by Wednesday morning. Forecasters warn this could create hazardous travel conditions.

Here is a list of what is open and closed. We will be updating it as more information comes in.

• Bremen High School District 228: Open and is expected to be open tomorrow morning.
• Cardinal Joseph Bernardin School: Open
• Southwest Coop. For Spec. Education / Braun Educational Center: No evening classes or meetings.
• Southwest Cooperative Administrative Offices: No evening classes or meetings.
• Southwest Cooperative / Project Challenge Site: No evening classes or meetings.
