Sibling Jake Gorman called Mark a remarkable young man who made a positive impact on all those he knew.

"He always wanted to serve his country, and being that he's an organ donor he will save lives," Gorman told Patch.

"I hear of him as the man that every teacher adored, and who was loved by every student—that he touched their lives in one way or another."

"Mark was known by many, because he was involved in many activities," Kibelkis said, noting Mark's contribution to school plays, sports, and other extracurriculars. "We’re all grieving, trying to work through it."
