OAK FOREST, IL — Chicago Gaelic Park in Oak Forest announced this week they will postpone the annual Irish Fest held over Memorial Day weekend. The fest usually features, rides, vendors and Irish musical entertainment from the Friday before Memorial Day to the Memorial Day holiday itself.

Organizers cited current Center for Disease Control guidelines in connection with the new coronavirus pandemic that will run through at least the middle of May as reason to make the early decision to postpone the event that typically draws several thousand attendees every year.

A make-up date had not been immediately announced.
