The Hope Christian Reformed Church Choir and a chamber orchestra, under the direction of Dr. David Baar, will present Michael John Trotta’s new setting of Seven Last Words, on Good Friday, April 19, at 7 pm. A poignant major work that musically frames Christ’s final statements on the cross, Trotta’s setting has been described as “a modern classic” and “a new American masterwork.” It is a seven-movement choral journey through the Passion, which delivers a powerful and captivating story encompassing a breathtaking palette of emotion, from intimate tenderness to majestic triumph. The choral work will be presented as part of the Good Friday worship that includes, liturgy, congregational singing, and communion. Hope CRC 5825 West 151st Street, Oak Forest, IL 60452 (708)687-2095
