Hillcrest Students Among Top Illinois Student Scholars
Hillcrest students were given the recognition for their outstanding academic achievement.
COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, IL — For over a year, education around the world has been changed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Whether its was online instruction, hybrid models or even relating academics to current events, the education of students everywhere has grown or changed in ways nobody saw coming.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission released its list of state high school scholars earlier this month. The ISAC has been announcing the scholars for over 60 years, and the recognition is given to the top 10 percent of high school seniors in the state of Illinois.
According to the ISAC, the honor is chosen based off of a combination of exemplary ACT or SAT test scores, and sixth semester class rank. Some students at Bremen High School District 228's Hillcrest High School are among that top 10 percent.
