House Fire Kills Oak Forest Man
The fire occurred at the 16700 block of Kara Court in Oak Forest.

OAK FOREST, IL — A fire killed an Oak Forest man early Monday morning, according to Oak Forest Fire Chief John F. Janozik.
Around 5:15 a.m., fire crews responded to a house fire in the 16700 block of Kara Court in Oak Forest. When officials arrived, they were told a person was trapped inside.
Identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner, 57-year-old Michael Houle was found dead from is injuries, within the home.

Another person also suffered burns, but refused treatment. The fire has now displaced three adults, according to Janozik.
Fire departments that assisted in putting out the flames include the Tinley Park Fire Department, Orland Fire District, Crestwood Fire Department, Country Club Hills Fire Department, Markham Fire Department and Midlothian Fire Department.
