Man Shot to Death, 2 Injured in Harvey Home Invasion
The incident took place Sunday night. Police say it's possible it was a targeted act of violence.

HARVEY, IL — One man was fatally shot and two others injured during a home invasion in Harvey Sunday evening.
A 21-year-old man and his brother had stepped out of a home in the 200 block of Calumet Boulevard just after 7 p.m., when they were accosted by two masked, armed males. The attackers forced the men back inside the home, and "ordered them and another male who was inside the home, onto the floor," according to media reports.
One of the offenders then shot the 21-year-old in the back and one of the other males in the leg. The third victim was beaten, Harvey police spokesman Sean Howard told reporters.

The 21-year-old was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he later died. The two other injured males, whose ages were not available, were transported to nearby hospitals. Their conditions were later stabilized, Howard said.
The incident is under investigation. Howard noted it is possible that the victims and attackers might have been previously linked.
