Matchbox Derby Held At Acorn Library August 17

OAK FOREST, IL — Longtime Oak Forest resident Chris Pochinskas is continuing his father's tradition by sponsoring a Matchbox Derby at Acorn Library August 17.

His father, Robert "Pooch" Pochinskas held the race for many years at the Midlothian Library as part of its summer reading program until he died in 2016, Pochinskas said.

Pochinskas moved it to Acorn last year.

"This race has been a huge success in years past and I’m trying to keep the success going," he said.
